WARRIORS: THE NEW PROPHECY
by Erin Hunter

Have you ever looked into the dignified, intelligent eyes of your cat and wondered about her secret life? In this second series of books following the original hit series Warriors, an exciting fantasy adventure unfolds featuring cats living in Clans. These feisty felines undertake exciting quests and attend to prophecies. They seek friendship, family connections, and romance. They also suffer unbearable tragedies and ponder spiritual beliefs. In fact (although they would shudder to be compared with the dreaded "Twolegs"; my apologies, Clan cats!), the furry warriors and their kin experience feelings that are very human.

In the first book of the series, MIDNIGHT, the cats' StarClan ancestors fear the doom that is approaching the forest. They choose a warrior from each of the four Clans to undertake a journey to seek answers in order to save the cats from inevitable peril. The four chosen cats, led by young Brambleclaw and joined by two more who refuse to stay behind, experience danger, fear, tragedy and uncertainty. They also bond together in tremendous friendships that cross the boundaries of their respective Clans. When the chosen cats finally receive the message they were sent to retrieve, their story is far from over. The urgent mission to save the cats continues into the next books.

Erin Hunter sets a rapid pace with one adventure after another spiced up with unforeseen developments. It's so easy to relate to the main characters, you may find yourself choosing which Clan you'd belong to. The Warriors: The New Prophecy books are true page-turners --- closing one without finishing it is impossible and reading just one without going on to the next is out of the question. In this feature, you will learn more about these books of mighty furred warriors, the author(s) who wrote them, and more.
