 "Sometimes I think I am Judy Moody," says author Megan McDonald. "I'm certainly moody, like she is. Judy has a strong voice and always speaks up for herself. I like that." With four older sisters of her own, Megan sometimes found it hard to get a word in edgewise, until her mother encouraged her to write things down. Judy Moody's many fans are more than grateful that she did! Megan McDonald and her husband live in Sebastopol, California, with one dog and fifteen wild turkeys that like to hang out on the porch.
 Peter Reynolds is an award-winning animator, artist, author, website creator, and educator. Peter says he felt an immediate connection to Judy Moody because, "having an 11-year-old daughter, I have witnessed firsthand the adventures of a very independent-minded girl." He says "It was almost spooky that I painted the cover [of JUDY MOODY SAVES THE WORLD] on the morning of September 11, 2001. I looked at what I was painting, and the words jumped out at me in a new and more meaningful way." Peter Reynolds lives in Dedham, Massachusetts.
