What is your opinion of HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, and how does this latest installment compare to the four previous books in the series?

I think that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was a wonderful book, but probably only the 3rd best. Frankly I like numbers 3 and 4 better.

* * * * *

Although ingratiating in its context, a little overcoming of evil in the "good" department would be appreciated in its context, since Harry seems not to rule in the face of evil throughout the majority of the novel, and we have at least three years to wait for the next edition. I hope the next edition shows the emersion of evil, since it is the second of the last, and good must overcome evil.

I would highly recommend the 5th book, as in my opinion it is my favorite book in all the series. Just thought you might find this helpful.

* * * * *

I am 11 and I think that the fifth Harry Potter book is the best one yet. In the other 4 books it was kind of slow moving in the beginning, but in the fifth book in the beginning and throughout the book, it is really fast moving. He has a lot of exciting adventures in this book. This book has answered a lot of questions that I've been wondering about, and it is a great book for kids to read.

* * * * *

I think it is the best book in the universe.

* * * * *

The book is excellent. The darkest and the best one yet. In my opinion it's like a roller coaster ride for two reasons: one, there's so many ups and downs in the book, and two, you just don't know what to expect to happen next. Also I loved it, and ever since I read it I've been picking it up every once in a while and double checking the chapters I read to make sure I didn't miss any info. The book is just that good.

* * * * *

I finished the fifth book in 4 days cuz it was soooooo good. There's always something to surprise you or make you suspenseful on every page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend it to readers of all ages!! (But if you get nightmares that's another story!) I'm 11 years old.

* * * * *

This book was my favorite book I ever read, I want to read it again and again. I can't wait until the next book comes out. I hope the next book has more than 1,000 pages so that it has way more action.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was a very interesting book. I'm 10, and really enjoyed it. Harry is more realistic now, and he actually did have the right to stand up to the D.A.D.A. (Defense Against the Dark Arts), and I won't say who it is for all those readers who haven't gotten to that part yet.

I was very concerned about Snape and what he was like in his years at Hogwarts. I think James, Sirius, Lupin, and Wormtail were a little too hard on him. I wanted to find out what happened after Snape came in.

The end was the saddest part in the story, and I won't say who dies. I cried the night I finished the book.

Overall, I thought Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was an excellent book. It brought back characters from another excellent Harry Potter book, Book 3. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban are tied as my favorite books.

* * * * *

In my opinion, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the best of the series so far. I love the book!!! I have already read 1, 2, 3, and 4 three times each and I finished the fifth in two weeks. If you don't believe me then e-mail me any question. The Harry Potter books are my favorite series!!

* * * * *

The latest book in the epic Harry Potter series defies the first four in adventure, plot, intrigue, and humor (with Fred and George especially). I absolutely loved the book, even though it was a little darker than the others, but the difference in the plot caught me and made it a smash hit in my mind. Even though I really liked the first book, this book is so well written and beautifully crafted that I've got to say that it is the best novel in the series so far.

I thought Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was the best in the series yet. I think it's great to see Harry changing and seeing a new view of things. It also explains a lot and I understand the last four books in the series better.

I love Harry Potter #5. It's the best one ever!

AN ANGRY POTTER???

This book was AWESOME!!! But it is very different. All Muggles BEWARE of an angry and short-tempered Potter. This book (as you can probably tell by its cover) is very dark. Harry Potter's scar hurts most of the time, he gets (real) visions, and he ALWAYS dreams about a long dark corridor that is full of doors. Also, he is in shock when Ginny and Ron join the Quiddich team. And this book has a little romance (you may be wondering about Harry and Cho, but you'll have to read the book to find out!!!)

The only things that make the book funny and relaxing are Fred, Gorge and, of course, Peeves (who do so many funny things that it's easy to forget everyone's worries and just laugh). This book has a toed-like Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher who is just (well, the right words for it are) dumb, wired, unfair and downright mean.

Most things in this book were depressing and dark. At times even I felt frustrated and wanted to YELL at Harry and other people. Don't get me wrong, its not BAD. In fact it's really VERY VERY VERY GOOD. But I DID expect this book to be like this (because of what happened in the end of book four). But when I was in the middle of it I felt that the book was odd, because even though the first four had something to do with HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED, it was not that depressing.

I recommend this book to all you Muggles, even though it has a sad ending. I hope J.K. Rowling doesn't take another three years to write the next book. This is my favorite one so far. Don't forget that this book ROCKS!!! It's a million WOWs!!!!!

-A 13-year-old fan!!!

It's true that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the best book yet.

* * * * *

I'm almost halfway done with the book and it is probably the best book I've ever read.

* * * * *

I thought the fifth Harry Potter book could have been better. I love Harry Potter but the fourth book was better than the fifth to me. But people have different opinions. But the fifth book had lots of surprises and it was really good. I LOVE HARRY POTTER.

* * * * *

I think this Harry Potter book is the best one yet! It's super! It compares to the fourth book but only to the fourth book! It's great!

* * * * *

I think that it is not the best. The Chamber of Secrets is the best.

* * * * *

I'm 9 years old, and I think this book is completely awesome because it talks about The Sorcerer's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban, and The Goblet of Fire as if it really had happened a few years ago, and I am soooooooooooooooo into them that I feel I am actually in the story with Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley (whose real name in the books is Ronald.) I can't wait till J.K. Rowling writes the sixth book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* * * * *

I think Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a lot better than the first four. My opinion is that it has more action, adventure and love, and they also play a big part in the book. I am 10 years old and adore their adventures. Being one of the top students in my class last year it's hard to believe it. I think it compares nicely to the others but is way more interesting. I hope they keep coming more exciting each time.

* * * * *

I am 12 years old, and I fully love the Harry Potter series. I just got done reading The Order of the Phoenix last night and it was soooooooooooooooooooo good. If they ever make a movie out of it, I'd give it 5 stars. I think that it totally complements the other four books. It could definitely be my favorite book by far. But then again, every Harry Potter book gets better and better.

* * * * *

I loved it so much!! It was so sad when a certain character died (not telling who, read it yourself)

* * * * *

I'm 10 years old, and I think it's the best one yet! Although it's pretty long, I'm sure kids will flip right through the pages! The fourth Harry Potter book, The Goblet of Fire, left some pretty interesting stuff to put in the fifth book. I'm not quite finished with it, but it's so cool how J.K. Rowling makes it so you want to keep going because you want to find out what's going to happen next. She is a truly talented author. She made grown-ups and kids like both of them! I think that's impressive. I mean, you don't usually see a grown-up reading a children's book for pleasure, or you don't see a child read a grown-up book for pleasure very often. I know I've never seen anyone do that. I'm looking forward to reading it. And if any one hasn't read it yet, which I doubt, I recommend this book to anyone who knows how to read!

* * * * *

I really like Harry Potter's fifth book. My mom and I read it together almost every night. Hey my sister is 7 and she has bad dreams, right. Well, she doesn't have bad dreams about Harry Potter. I'm 9 and I'm the oldest. My other sister is 3 and she doesn't get scared. MY FAMILY LOVES HARRY POTTER! I wish I were him.

* * * * *

I am the biggest Potter fan I know. I was first in line for The Order of the Phoenix. I got my book at 12:02. I personally think this book was her second best, The Prisoner of Azkaban being her greatest creation. It fit well. He had emotional problems like any REAL teenager does. J.K. made me (while I was reading) believe the book was real. It felt more than ever as though it could happen to an ordinary boy with an ordinary life that turned upside down in a flash of green. Now there is more tragedy in poor Harry's life, with someone dying. I loved The Order of the Phoenix. That is all there is to it. J.K. Rowling remains the best author (of hundreds and hundreds of books I've read) ever!

* * * * *

It's my favorite adventure yet! A great book!
Favorite Harry Potter books in order:
Book 5
Book 3
Book 4
Book 1
Book 2

* * * * *

My opinion is that the fifth Harry Potter book, The Order of the Phoenix, is the most adventurous yet. You learn so much in the last few chapters, and it is so exciting! I can't wait till the sixth one comes out!

* * * * *

I think that the fifth Harry Potter book, The Order of the Phoenix, is the best book yet in the Harry Potter series. I am 11-and-a-half years old.

* * * * *

I'm 13 years old, and I thought the book was incredible! By far, the best in the series. I thought it was filled with a lot more emotion than in the previous installments. As I was reading it, it felt darker and more mysterious. J.K. Rowling really outdid herself in this fifth book. I think that all the characters evolved into people we never thought of before. I know the Weasleys especially surprised me. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was an extraordinary piece of literature. I can't even start to imagine what J.K. Rowling will bring in the next two books. But I'm positive they will be just as good, and a million times better.

* * * * *

I love the book, but The Goblet of Fire was more adventurous.

* * * * *

I was impressed with the book, but I still thought the third book of Harry Potter was the best. I am 12.

* * * * *

I am 12, and I think that it was interesting. I read it so much a day that my big sister would yell at me. I want to see the fourth and fifth movies that go with the books.

* * * * *

I think in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry is a very different character from the one I knew in books 1-4, while Ron and Hermione were quite the same. The book seemed somehow very different then the other books, now that Harry is older and is becoming very different. I didn't mind Harry being different in the book, but I still wonder if him being different was a good thing or a bad thing. The whole book itself seemed to have taken a different turn from the direction the last four books were going. However, I think this change was maybe a good thing. But when I ask myself how this book being different was either good or bad, I say to myself, well what did I expect now that the characters are older and into different things.

I liked the fact that this book was a bit more dodgy than the last as it was more frightening but I enjoyed that. I am very eager to see what the next book has in store, and as I will keep reading the series due to their magnificence, I must say I really couldn't put the book down, because I was so interested to find out what would happen next. I think J.K. Rowling is just a very fabulous and talented writer to come with such a brilliant story. I'm 11 years old.

* * * * *

I think the book is boring. I love the movies. They are so awesome.

* * * * *

At the beginning of the book it was really boring. There wasn't much going on. Harry was annoyingly angry and I wanted to yell "shut up!" to him at some points. Mrs. Weasley was really annoying in the beginning too. She wouldn't let Harry hear anything about the Order. Once he got to Hogwarts, things finally got interesting. Professor Umbridge was really foul and extremely annoying. Harry finds out that his father wasn't the perfect guy he thought he was. He found out part of the reason Snape hates him so much. At one point in the story he actually feels sorry for Snape. I was in tears by the end of the story because one of my favorite characters died. Well, overall I don't think The Order of the Phoenix measured up to The Goblet of Fire, although it was pretty good.

* * * * *

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was the best book I have ever read and was a lot better than the others.

* * * * *

I think book five is the best book yet. My age is 13.

* * * * *

I think that the fifth one wasn't all that good. Rowling kind of put a little too much detail in it and I got kind of impatient, wanting her to get to the point and stop babbling on what we could do without. I think on a scale of 1-10 it would be 7. And compared to the other books, well I don't think it was all that good. I think the best one she's ever written was the third one. But that's just my opinion.

* * * * *

I say it is just as good as the other ones, even if I didn't read it yet. The cover, summary, and the end of The Goblet of Fire tells a lot, like Harry might be getting into it with Lord Voldemort. So on a scale of 1 to 10 I'll give it a 5, even if I didn't read it yet. I'm 12.

* * * * *

I thought the best Harry Potter book was the fifth one! It's so much more complicated, and Harry is going through a lot of things that kids go through in the real world. I mean, he loves and loses, he blows up at his friends, and he's acting more like an average kid. He deals with all of this stuff really well (except when he gets really mad). I'm almost 13, and it only took me a day and a half to read this book, and I really enjoyed it. I secretly hope Draco Malfoy will fall for Hermione, and then kick him to the curb. Someone needs to set him in his place.
