If you were stranded on a desert island, what ONE book would you take with you --- and why?

Harry Potter, even though I have already read it. A mystery book sounds nice.

* * * * *

I would take my favorite book, The View From Saturday. It's a really awesome book. I could read it again and again, and never get tired of it.

* * * * *

Sammy Keyes and the Skeleton Man! Because she is the best 13-year-old detective, and you can read her books over and over again without getting bored! A real boredom buster!!

* * * * *

I would take a Harry Potter book because they're my favorite books and I never get sick of reading them.

* * * * *

I would take To Kill a Mockingbird. It's a great and exciting book.

* * * * *

I would take my fifth Harry Potter book because it's long enough to last for a month (if I was stranded that long). If I was stranded longer, then I could read it over and over again and I wouldn't get tired of it! Yup, I would bring Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for sure!

* * * * *

Most definitely Artemis Fowl. It is my favorite book for an endless amount of reasons, therefore being my choice.

* * * * *

Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede, because it's creative, inspiring, has strong characters who aren't only guys, and all of them make you laugh!

* * * * *

The Bible is the book I would take with me. I would need all the help available to me and I need to read it more anyway.

* * * * *

I would take The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King because it never gets old and you discover something new every time you read it.

* * * * *

If I were stranded on a desert island, I would bring Sophie's World with me. Not only is the book entertaining, it is also long and would keep me preoccupied as I waited for someone to come and rescue me. Sophie's World is a very enjoyable book that can be read again and again.

* * * * *

Well, besides the Bible I would take The Blue Castle by L. M. Montgomery. It is soooooo good! I love it!

* * * * *

The fifth Harry Potter book, because it would last a while.

* * * * *

I would take the book Paint by Magic by Kathryn Reiss cuz that book takes my mind off of other things like my problems and stuff...

* * * * *

If I were stranded on a desert island I would take Hachet because it's about a boy who gets stranded on some island and learns to survive on his own. I would do the same thing he did, and with the book I would be able to get food and use his way to make a shelter and maybe even a fire.

* * * * *

I would take The Lord of the Rings because it is so in-depth that each new time that I would read it I would discover more.

* * * * *

Molly Moon Stops the World, because I have read the first one and it was great! I have just started it but i know it will be wonderful.

* * * * *

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It's a good book and quite long so it would keep me busy reading.

* * * * *

The Adventures of Swiss Family Robinson, because maybe I could get some tips on how to survive on the island. And it is fairly long so it would take a while to read.

* * * * *

I think if I were to be stranded on a deserted island, I would bring Eragon because it has adventure, battles and dragons. It is FULL of excitement, and I would bring it everywhere with me.

* * * * *

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, because it is so big and would last longer.

* * * * *

Robinson Crusoe. He too was stranded on an island for about 14 years (I think), and if ever I'm stranded on an island like he was, I can refer to his book and do what he did.

* * * * *

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, because it is my favorite of J.K Rowling's series.

* * * * *

I would take Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, because it is the newest book and I think it is more exciting than the others.

* * * * *

Most likely a Harry Potter book, because those are the only books I can read millions of times without ever getting bored.

* * * * *

The Black Stallion by Walter Farley, because a horse and a boy are stranded on an island together.

* * * * *

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

* * * * *

I would take the book Miracles on Maple Hill by Virginia Sorensen.

* * * * *

I would take Journey Through Heartsongs by Mattie Stepanek because his poems are beautiful and great to read!

* * * * *

I would take the book Eragon. I just read it recently and could not take my eyes off it. It was extremely suspenseful, my favorite type of book.

* * * * *

I would love to take Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, because I am not done with it and people say it is really good. I am in love with the Harry Potter books

* * * * *

If I were stranded on a desert island, the one book I would take with me is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix because I still have about 15 chapters to go, and (so far) I'm loving it. It contains romance, mystery, love, fear, awkwardness, and many other essential qualities for a book to be excellent, especially for Teens.

* * * * *

I would bring Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix because I really think that this book is a masterpiece and it takes a while to read.

* * * * *

I would take Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix because that would cheer me up when I am alone or feel sad.

* * * * *

I'd bring Santa Calls by William Joyce because it makes you think more about cold weather.

* * * * *

I would take The Black Stallion by Walter Farley because in the beginning it tells a lot about how to survive on an island, and it is my favorite book!

* * * * *

One of the Lemony Snicket books.

* * * * *

I would take The Island of the Aunts because it is a great book.

* * * * *

If I was stranded on an island I would absolutely bring a Charlie Bone book. Even though I've read the first one eight times, it's still my favorite book (over Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings).
