I think the Harry Potter movie was great but they missed out some of the best bits.
Some of the scenes were not how I imagined it. Mc Gonagal, Hagrid, Hermione and Ron were
perfect. The books were much better because you can imagine it yourself. A movie can never
be better than a book.

The movie was good, but I like the book more. The movie went too fast, and it didn't
have as much detail (as if any movie could). I guess I do recommend it to people, but you
would be more satisfied if you haven't read it, than if you were a huge fan.

I absolutely loved the Harry Potter movie! Every aspect was just how I imagined
it would be. The casting was perfect. Emma Watson was just adorable as
Hermione, Daniel Radcliffe's mannerisms were just as I thought Harry's should be, and
Rupert Grint was a hilarious Ron! The forbidden forest was even more spooky than I
had imagined! The Mirror of Erised scene was exceptional. (I'll admit, I did
cry when Harry saw his parents.) The Quidditch scene made me forget I was sitting in
the movie theater! I thought i was in the stands, watching an actual Quidditch
match! The final chess scene somehow kept me in suspense, even though I knew what the
outcome would be, and the end was so satisfying! (Besides the fact that I'm waiting on
pins and needles for the next 6 movies.) Overall, the movie was spectacular and I want to
see it again and again. I am so glad Rowling let Warner Brothers make the movie and
Chris Columbus is to be commended for a superior jo

My mother had never read the Harry Potter books before but she didn't want my little
sisters (or even me, for that matter) reading them because of the words "witch"
and "wizard" and "goblin"...etc. I somehow convinced her to go
see the movie and she said she "thoroughly enjoyed it." My sisters are
finally allowed to read Harry Potter. =)

I think that the movie was overall good but they left way to many scenes out
and changed way to many things...Such as:
1. Dumbledore sent Norbert away instead of Harry and Hermione
2. Wood was pulled out of Defense Against the Dark Arts and not Charms
3. They didn't show how much Harry and Draco hated each other.
4. They didn't show all the bad things and all the points Snape took away from
Harry.
5. they left out the potions chamber.
6. They left out the chamber where the troll is lying on the floor knocked out.
7. They didn't give Professor Mcgonagall, Dumbledore, Draco, Harry, Snape, the
Weasley twins, Crabbe, and Goyle enough character.
8. They didn't show all the jokes that the Weasley's played on people. And
they didn't show their sense of humor.
9. They forgot Dudley's friend that went with him to the zoo.
10. They forgot the part where Professor McGonagall dropped all her books when Harry
told her about the Sorcerer's Stone.
11. And they forgot the Quidditch Cup and the other Quidditch match!!
12. Harry's eyes weren't green.
13. They let Harry pick out his owl instead of letting Hagrid do it.
14. This list could go on and on and on!!!!!!!!

Overall, I liked the Harry Potter movie very much. I mean, they left out some
parts that I wanted to see (such as Peeves, Hermoine and the logic puzzle with the Potions
after the chess scene, etc.) but I understand that not everything could go into the movie
that was in the book. Also, although no one could have done a better job
portraying Quidditch, Fluffy, and the troll, I think things like those were much better
off in the imagination. But hats off to the actors and the directors! They did
an overall great job.

part was the scene where all the letters were zooming in the Dursley house. The
movie theatre made air to swish around in the room when that scene came up and it seemed
liked you were in the dursely house with the letter zooming across your face and the sound

seen and heard on t.v. , radio, and a comercial I saw in the theatre...
But they're are suppose to be some parts not shown from the book in the movie
and I just got this HP (harry potter) Chapter game ( diagon alley ) and my best friend is
starting to like Harry Potter just because of the merchandise!!
P.S. I have read the canadian Harry Potter books 5 times each + the text books and I am
starting to read the 1st u.s. version...

I thought that the movie was totally awesome! The characters were great and so was
the plot. I really liked how much of the story they managed to fit in the movie
without making the movie too long. If I had to rate it form 1-10, 1 being the worst
and 10 being the best, I would give it a 9 and 3 fourths of a point out of 10. It
was great!

Some of us in Australia have not seen the movie yet it comes ouyt on the 29 of
november, but i have seen the previews and i think it looks absolutely fablous to tell you
the true. My favourite so far is harry, ron ,hermoine, and the one and only hagrid i

i really loved the movie... but i didnt like how they left a lot of the parts out. i
know the movie would have been like 5 hours long if they left all the parts in there but
it still made me mad. i didnt like how they left out Peeves. he was sooo cool. i dont
think they introduced the characters enough to us. like if i hadnt read the books i
wpuldnt have known that the Weasley twins were always playing tricks on people and getting
into trouble because they didnt mention any of that. i didnt really give us the characters
personalities very well. AND.... i didnt like how they sometimes switched things up, like
in the book when Profesor goes to got Oliver Wood she goes to Flitwick's class not
Quirrell's class, and when they see the 3-headed dog it's at night not during the
day.BUT...overall it was still a good movie.

I am a real Harry potter fan but I am very dissapointed in the movie. The movie was
just seen after seen. For example: They didn't show Harry getting to his classes they just
showed him in the classes, one minute he's with snape the next minute he's with Quirrel.
The movie was not very fluent. I did however like the movie a lot. I just would have
enjoyed it better if it was more fluent. I loved the special affects, it was great! I

It was pretty diff. from the book. I should Know as I've read each book 15 times or
more. (literally) It was okay. Voldemort looked so much dill. from how they describe him
in the books. They changed things around to. I thought Voldemort would look like a snake.

they didn't even mention Hedwig's name, they sent Ron into the forbidden Forest instead of
Neville, they didn't have the Quidditch Cup, they forgot all about the part where Uncle
Vernon went to work and saw all the crazy people and the part where someone hugged him,
they left out the part on the train where Harry and Ron almost get into a fight with
Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle, they put lines in the wrong places, they had Snape and Quirrel
have the conversation about the Sorcerer's Stone inside Hogwarts instead of having it in
the Forbidden Forest, they skipped from Halloween to Christmas without anything in the
middle, and they didn't show the part where Hermione KNOCKED OVER Professor Quirrel. In
the movie he just got distracted by the fire on Snape's robes! THIS LIST COULD GO ON
FOREVER!!
To me the people who haven't read the book will
LOVE the movie but to people who have read the books they will probably be a little
disappointed like me. Don't get me wrong it was a fantastic movie but it didn't stay
faithful to the book!
