A NOTE FROM BOOKER
Hello!
I do not know about you, but sometimes I love to read books that scare me. I love to
read them sitting up in my special reading place in my attic. It is a little spooky up
there, so it is a great place to be frightened by a book. If you like scary books, you
will love the new series we found out about here. In this series, one of the main
characters is a mean tarantula spider. It is not an ordinary spider at all! This is a real
great horror story --- CIRQUE DU
FREAK by Darren Shan. While you are there, you can check out the other links on the
page. We have been given permission to post the first chapter for you to read online. Our
tech worms had fun making a word scramble for you, and our research worms wrote a
biography of the author.

Books About Growing Up
As we get older, we all wonder about our body's changing, so we are naturally curious to
find out what's going on. Some of us are too shy to talk to our parents about those kinds
of things, so we decided to feature books about growing up, just for you! To get some
great suggestions on books to read about growing up, click here. Maybe these books
will answer some questions for you, or make it more comfortable to discuss it with your
parents.
Lemony Snicket
In the darkly hilarious book series, A Series of Unfortunate Events, author Lemony Snicket
shares with readers everything he knows about the Baudelaire family. After much careful
research on the Baudelaires, a very wealthy bunch who seem to be the unluckiest clan in
the world, Snicket is an expert.
Explore our Lemony
Snicket feature and find out more about these unusual books and their mysterious
author. You won't want to miss this unique and very funny reading experience!

Books
Such secrets lie within them
Such wonders I may never see
Some things that mean more to anyone else
But nothing at all to me
A book is all in how you read it
the characters, the quest
For you my friend are a reader,
And you my friend are blessed
For in your arms you hold a treasure
No man can ever take away
For inside those pages you shall fly
So high above to the highest sky
Every page an adventure
Every journey, every step
It all begins with you my friend
That is the greatest secret kept

Written with a pen,
sealed with a kiss,
if you are my friend,
please answer this:
Are we friends or are we not,
You told me once, but i forgot.
So tell me now,
and tell me true,
so i can say
"I'm here for you."
Of all the friends i've ever met,
your the one i wont forget,
And if I die before you do,
I'll go to heaven and wait for you.
I'll give the angels back their wings,
and risk the loss of everything,
just to prove my friendship is true,
to have a friend just like you!!!!!!!

Yesterday I finished a book called The Man Who Was POE By AVI. This
book is about Edgar Allan POE. It is very good. There is this boy, named Edmund also.
Edmunds father steals all of the familles money, then moves away, without getting a legal
divorce. Then, his mother goes after him and leaves Edmund and his little sister with her
their Aunt. Then, Edmund, his sister and the aunt go searching for the mother and soon get
into a trap. Somebody steals his aunt and his sister, but not Edmund and the rest of the
book is about Edmund and a man named Dupin searching for Edmunds aunt, mother and sister.
It is a very exciting book. I would give it 5 stars!

When I Grow Up.....
When I grow up I hope to be a cheif, and if I can't be that then I want to own my own
bakery... I cant wait to see my name is lights if I can pass as a superstar or maybe I
could be a voice of a cartoon character..... I can just hear my screeching voice on stage
and all the yells and screams maybe its not such a good idea to be a singer, i've always
adored picking out everyone's clothes maybe I could be a fashion designer but I don't
think I'd want to be a teacher because I don't enjoy learning all that much If I were a
teacher I'd probulary let the kids do whatever that want. Books are incredible things they
can teach you many things, and take you places you've never been too like japan, or new
england...... try readin a book in your local or school library just try the only thing to
be afraid is-- is fear itself..........

Dear Booker, one book I really reccomend is "My Name Is Not
Angelica". It is a wonderful book about a girl in the 1700's that is taken away from
her home in Africa and sold away as a slave. It is one of the most saddest and the most
spine tingling books I ever read. But still, It was a great experience for me. The Ending
is so unbelieveable I cried. But I don't want to tell you any more. If you truly love to
read you MUST READ THIS BOOK!!!!!

I just found your site and have been reading the reviews for hours.
I have started a card file of books to buy or borrow for my son's to read based on your
reviews. With all the information here it will be easy to find them.
My oldest son is in first grade and is reading well above his level. He reads all of
the time and it has been very hard to keep him supplied with interesting books to
read. He is really into math and learning about the different presidents of the
united states right now so I was thrilled to see your lists of books on those
subjects. Now I have quite a list of books to look for and I can't wait to
show him!

My great suggestion is The book "The Westing Game." It is

I was reading the books you have chosen for mother's day. As a
dayschool owner and director/teacher, I felt that I should share a book that my mother
wrote. It is My Mama Had A Dancing Heart, by Libba Moore Gray, illustrated by Raul
Colon, Orchard Books. My mother, Libba, passed away from breast cancer in
1995. She is the author of numerous other children's books such as Miss Tizzy and
Small Green Snake, etc. Libba taught highschool english and drama for 25 yrs in
Maryville, Tn. As her daughter , I feel compelled to share her story and keep her
name alive. This book is Mother's Day for me. Let's celebrate!
